Alternative pathways – Curtin UniReady Program

The UniReady Enabling program is now available to students in our school as a WACE endorsed program. This allows students who would not otherwise meet university minimum entry to do so, whilst remaining in school and achieving their WACE. Generally students who wish to study at university gain entry through their ATAR score, however, this is not the only pathway to Curtin.

UniReady is designed to develop students’ independent learning skills. The program consists of two core units (Fundamentals of Academic Writing and Foundations of Communication) and two electives chosen by the school (Introduction to Humanities and Introduction to Commerce 2023-2024). Upon achieving 50% or more in each unit, students will be granted an ATAR score of 70 and can apply for a course of their choice as long as they meet the other required prerequisites for their selected course.

UniReady is now endorsed by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority. Students can study UniReady during their final years of secondary school and receive credit toward their WACE.
